Overview The American Red Cross is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Salesforce QA Engineer Lead with expertise in both manual and automation testing to join the Salesforce Biomed Quality Assurance team. The Salesforce QA & Testing Lead will be responsible for ensuring quality releases are delivered in a timely manner to internal Red Cross customers. This position will lead a dedicated team of Salesforce QA engineers and testers, and will be responsible for manual QA processes, establishing test automation best practices and the configuration of automated test infrastructure that will allow the team to regression test enhancements and bug fixes with a high degree of confidence and quality.

The work location for this position is 100% virtual/work from home. While the position can be worked from anywhere in the United States and will work East Coast hours, extended hours/on-call support may be needed to support major outages or off-hours releases.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Salesforce QA team to define test strategies, tasks, estimates and testing execution to meet stakeholder requirements.

Act as project leader and instruct and check the work of test engineering staff.

Develop, implement, maintain, enhance and execute test plans, test scripts and test methodologies to ensure compliance with system specifications.

Perform in-depth investigations into data quality issues and develop solutions to improve/correct data and reduce errors.

Maintain contact with outside vendors and 3rd party consultants in the development and execution of test plans.

Work with software developers to develop test specifications and build test cases to rigorously test product functionality and investigate potential test failures.

Verify and validate defect fixes and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Perform complex test engineering activities throughout the software life cycle and document results, analysis, logs, and metrics.

Recommend program improvements or corrections and provide technical guidance, mentoring, and leadership to the team.

Contribute as a hands-on tester in addition to leadership responsibilities.

Perform API testing (Postman), accessibility, mobile and browser, and UI testing.

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and participate in design and sprint planning sessions.

Estimate level of effort for stories and/or epics based on business requirements and platform knowledge.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

8+ years of experience in manual and automation testing with expertise in Salesforce testing.

3+ years of experience in providing technical guidance, mentoring, and leading QA team members.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

Experience with Salesforce platform required, including API, APEX & Lightning testing.

Understanding of Salesforce architecture and product suites (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, AppExchange).

Experience with automated regression testing tools (Provar or similar such as Selenium, Copado Robotic Testing).

Familiarity with Salesforce metadata, data migration, and release management.

Experience with DevOps tools (GearSet, ADO, Flosum, etc.) and Agile/Scrum tools (Jira).

Excellent communication and time-management skills; ability to work extended hours/on-call as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Salesforce Admin & App Builder certifications are preferred.

Nice to have experience with Appinium, Skedulo, or similar ancillary products.

Pay Information and Benefits The annual salary range for this position is $120K - $135K. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role. Salaries are aligned to geographic location and other factors. Salary details may be reviewed at the time of phone screening.
