Our client, a global leader in advanced semiconductor technologies, is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Device R&D to lead its research and development strategy. Based at the organisation’s technology centre in the US, this executive role will shape the future of device innovation, oversee next‑generation product development, and align R&D priorities with the company’s long‑term growth objectives. Responsibilities
Define and execute the device research and development strategy in alignment with business goals and market demands. Drive innovation in advanced device design, with a focus on ultra‑low‑power and high‑performance technologies. Collaborate with product management, applications engineering, and manufacturing to integrate new devices into product roadmaps. Lead, mentor, and grow a high‑performing R&D organisation while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Engage with customers to capture requirements and ensure R&D priorities reflect market needs. Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure efficient execution of R&D projects. Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality requirements, and regulatory obligations. Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field; PhD preferred. 10+ years of experience in semiconductor device development, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity. Deep expertise in analog and power management integrated circuits, particularly ultra‑low‑power applications. Strong leadership skills with a proven record of building and developing R&D teams. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Willingness to relocate or be based in the US technology hub. What’s on offer
