Marketing Specialist – Texas Southmost College
Job Summary:
Assist in the creation, development, coordination, and implementation of the College’s marketing, advertising, public relations, and community relations programs to ensure the College’s community, regional, state, and national presence.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and sustain all aspects of internal and external communications, including news media relations, print and electronic publications, website, digital marketing, and social media initiatives.
Maintain the TSC website, news section, and athletics website; program updates and event promotion.
Produce multimedia presentations (audio, video, photography) for online environments, websites, and social media channels.
Establish, nurture, and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Schedule and coordinate photo shoots; collaborate with marketing team to select appropriate images for college publications and social media.
Compose correspondence, media messages, press releases, announcements, and other oral and written communications to meet outreach needs.
Implement marketing plans; coordinate college events; develop scripts for television, radio, and Internet ads.
Participate in community events that promote the College; attend the workplace regularly and follow a work schedule.
Physical Demands The employee is frequently required to stand; occasionally required to walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
