Position

Full-time ENG/Video Editor/Photographer. KPNX/12News is seeking a full‑time ENG/Video Editor/Photographer. The ideal candidate must be ready and able to create high quality content that meets deadlines, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and work well under pressure within a team environment.

Responsibilities

Create story‑telling that meets the highest journalistic standards.

Edit a variety of video elements including voice‑overs, SOTS, packages, graphics, opens and teases.

Operate non‑linear edit systems and have experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects & Photoshop) – a plus.

Coordinate incoming video feeds, record, and maintain quality control.

Work closely with news producers, reporters, photojournalists, and the digital team to create the best morning/evening shows.

Handle multiple editing assignments, capturing feeds, FTP material, and monitor quality control editing to scripts and producer notes.

Operate live broadcast systems such as Microwave (Troll system), Dejero Control, TVU’s Grid, and satellite receivers to tune in live shots.

Cooperate in sending station‑produced video to the network and other TEGNA sister stations when asked.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

3–5 years of experience as a non‑linear editor – preferably in a local TV news department environment.

Experience with Edius and ENPS is a plus.

Ability to create and edit material for on‑air broadcasts and web while meeting deadlines.

Flexible hours, including weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.

Travel

Strong communication, organization and teamwork skills.
