**Compensation:**$76,580.00 - $87,823.00 CS122**Compensation Type:**Salary**Employment Type:**Regular**Scheduled Weekly Hours:**40**Position Summary**The Respiratory Care Program Director (PD) is responsible for all aspects of the program, both administrative and educational. Administrative aspects include: fiscal planning, continuous review and analysis, planning and development, and the overall effectiveness of the program. Educational responsibilities include: teaching, curriculum development and review, scheduling etc. Compliance of accreditation standards is also a critical aspect of the PD role. In addition the PD will supervise other program personnel. The PD must have regular and consistent contact with students and program faculty. Must be committed to serving a culturally diverse student population. The Respiratory Care Program Director is a member of the Division of Sciences, Health, Engineering and Math and will participate in the full range of departmental, division and college activities that are expected of all staff members. Work is performed within the general parameters of institutional policy, and other professional or legal requirements. This is a staff position with 12 month responsibilities and includes a comprehensive benefits package.**Duties & Responsibilities*** Oversee and ensure the quality of the Respiratory Care Program.* Supervise and mentor department faculty.* Support program by recruiting, training and retaining qualified faculty.* Evaluate faculty performance in accordance with SFCC policies.* Facilitate implementation and coordination of respiratory care curriculum including development, updates and revisions required to reflect changes in the practice of competent respiratory care and local employer requirements of entry level RRTs to promote student success.* Maintain program assessment and accreditation processes.* Develop and maintain department budget to provide appropriate resources for program.* Oversee respiratory care classroom, laboratory and equipment.* Lead departmental coordination and meetings; Prepare and schedules meetings.* Work with Advisory Committee and Medical Director to ensure success of the students and program.* Advocate for student success by coordinating, creating and assessing recruitment, advising, retention and placement efforts.* Coordinate with Marketing and Public Relations Department in the promotion of the program.* Collaborate in curriculum planning and problem solving with other program/SFCC faculty.* Coordinate with bachelor completion programs to create articulation agreements and smooth transitions for SFCC graduates.* Participate in college wide activities and committees.* Promote a learning community environment.* Maintain professional competence.* Support the mission, values and goals of SFCC, the Division of Science Health, Engineering and Math and the respiratory care program.* Assist the Director of Clinical Education with the respiratory care program simulation lab experience and clinical experiences including outreach to clinical affiliates and call for clinical rotations.* Although the above are typical of the duties and responsibilities normally performed, additional duties and responsibilities requiring the same or lesser skills, knowledge and dexterity may be required.**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities*** The wide range of respiratory care practice;* Adult learning education theory and application, teaching methodology, and course and curriculum development;* Program management and administration;* Supervisory methods and techniques;* Budget formulation and administration.* Skill in:* Respiratory care clinical practices and procedures;* Oral and written communication;* Human relations.* Ability to:* Facilitate and evaluate implementation of accreditation requirements and curriculum;* Supervise faculty and staff* Analyze multifaceted data;* Facilitate group processes.**Work Hours*** 8 am to 5 pm Monday – Friday.
