Position Title : SailPoint IdentityIQ Architect
Location : Remote (U.S.-based) or Hybrid (Washington, DC Metro Preferred)
Clearance Requirements : Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (TS clearance preferred)
Position Status : Full-Time, Direct Hire
Pay Rate : $130,000-$216,000 / year (based on experience, clearance, and qualifications)
Position Description Join a high-impact team modernizing Identity and Access Management (IAM) for critical federal systems. We're seeking a SailPoint IdentityIQ Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable IAM solutions in support of national cybersecurity and compliance initiatives.
This role offers technical leadership, hands‑on architecture, and end‑to‑end delivery responsibilities in a mission‑driven, agile environment. You'll collaborate with federal stakeholders, security engineers, and infrastructure teams to deliver secure, compliant, and high‑performance IAM capabilities across hybrid cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and design SailPoint IdentityIQ solutions to meet evolving business and security requirements
Lead implementation of identity lifecycle processes (joiner / mover / leaver, access requests, role / entitlement management)
Integrate SailPoint IIQ with enterprise systems (Active Directory, LDAP, HRIS, cloud apps, and ticketing platforms)
Define and enforce RBAC, access control policies, SoD, and audit mechanisms
Optimize performance of workflows, connectors, and provisioning processes
Guide certification campaigns and support internal / external audit readiness
Mentor IAM engineers and analysts; review code and contribute to technical strategy
Author technical documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and interface specs
Stay current with IAM trends, SailPoint updates, and zero trust architecture models
Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders across teams
Required Skills / Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
7+ years of IAM experience, including 5+ years of SailPoint IdentityIQ architecture and delivery
Proficiency with Java, BeanShell, XML, SQL, and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
Strong understanding of identity lifecycle, governance frameworks, and IAM standards
Experience with REST / SOAP APIs, enterprise integrations, and version control tools (e.g., Git)
Ability to lead complex IAM programs in regulated or federal environments
Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and documentation skills
U.S. Citizenship required for federal clearance eligibility
Preferred Qualifications
SailPoint Certified IdentityIQ Architect
Active or prior Top Secret clearance
CISSP, CISA, or relevant cybersecurity certifications
Experience with Azure AD, AWS IAM, and hybrid cloud identity systems
Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800‑53, and zero trust architecture frameworks
Compensation Annual salary : $130,000 - $216,000
Final compensation depends on factors including experience, security clearance level, certifications, and interview performance.
