About Us We are a mission-driven startup organization launching a residential and community-based service program for individuals with developmental disabilities in New Jersey. Our goal is to build a safe, compassionate, and compliant environment that fosters independence and quality of life. We are seeking a dynamic Executive Director to lead this vision from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership in launching and overseeing all operational, clinical, and administrative aspects of the program.

Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including NJ DDD licensing standards and Medicaid waiver requirements.

Oversee program development, policy creation, hiring, training, and ongoing performance management of staff.

Maintain all documentation and procedures to support audits, licensure reviews, and Medicaid compliance.

Serve as liaison to state agencies (DDD, DHS, DOH), community partners, families, and other stakeholders.

Ensure staff-to-client ratios and credentialing meet required standards.

Lead ongoing quality assurance and performance improvement efforts.

Foster a person-centered culture that promotes dignity, respect, and autonomy for individuals served.

Minimum Qualifications (Per NJ DDD Regulatory Requirements)

Education : Masters Degree in a human services field, public administration, healthcare administration, or related discipline.

Experience : Minimum of two (2) years supervisory or administrative experience in programs serving individuals with developmental disabilities.

Must meet the requirements of a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) OR be able to hire a QIDP to fulfill clinical oversight responsibilities.

Familiarity with NJAC 10 : 44A and other relevant DDD administrative codes.

Experience working with Medicaid waiver programs, particularly Community Care Program (CCP) or Supports Program (SP).

Knowledge of licensing, incident reporting, abuse / neglect prevention, and behavior management guidelines.

Valid NJ drivers license and ability to pass criminal background and CARI checks.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience launching or managing new programs in the IDD / DD space.

Strong leadership and organizational skills with startup experience.

Demonstrated success in building collaborative teams and community partnerships.

CARF or COA accreditation experience a plus.
