An Integration Architect II role is tasked with planning, coordinating, and managing the assimilation of new software applications and programs into an organization's existing Health Information Technology environment. The IA supports NAH by determining systemic needs, recommending changes, implementing new software solutions, and instructing users about domain strategy, interface. The analyst also monitors system efficiency, updates current software to correct errors and support in software system installation.

Responsibilities:

Technological Development

– Strong analytical skills to derive data supported decisions and recommendations; lead strategic design and support execution of Cerner, domain strategy, regulatory adherence, code/package management, optimization, standardization and upgrades and recommend clinical applications resource allocation.

Operational Oversight

– Provide operational oversight of Cerner relationship including co‑leading resource allocation, road mapping and Cerner project planning.

Process Expertise

– Provide common process (Core) expertise and support and mentor the IT Analysts.

Code Release Management

– Responsible for development and execution of Cerner Code Release management strategies including assessment of new software, testing strategies and plans development of implementation procedures and guidelines.

Change Design

– Recommend, develop and execute changes in NAH Cerner code development, business processes, operational maintenance and system standards.

Alignment

– Collaborate with leaders to ensure technical and application team alignments; teams are in sync regarding needs and upcoming activities.

Knowledge

– Maintain deep knowledge and understanding of current NAH Cerner application(s) and how they integrate; stay at the forefront of knowledge around forthcoming applications.

Communication

– Provide counsel and lead in the vetting process of all Cerner project initiatives and effectively communicate to key stakeholders regarding all Cerner functions within scope.

Process Leadership

– Accomplished team oriented process leader with strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated achievements in leading Cerner related initiatives.

Project Management

– Support project management activities by leading the development of strategies, work plans, scope control, identifying project resources, and technical/clinical road mapping.

Clinical Operations Knowledge

– Demonstrate knowledge of clinical operations as related to EHR & healthcare data collections, sharing, and reporting.

Interface Oversight

– Provide oversight and risk mitigation for interface activities with technical and foreign system.

Domain Ownership

– Serve as the organizational production and non‑production owner, ensuring all content, changes or technical packages entering the domain(s) have been properly vetted and tested.

Change Control

– Lead Cerner change control ensuring processes are in place and executed, adhering to documented processes and best practices.

Escalation Partner

– Point of escalation and facilitation between NAH and Cerner for operational troubleshooting and issue resolution.

Project Leadership

– Co‑lead applicable Cerner related projects at various levels of complexity utilizing a multi‑disciplinary approach.

Integration SME

– Subject matter expert for consultation and recommendations on integration of third party systems and medical devices with Cerner.

Initiative Leadership

– Demonstrate effectiveness in leading Cerner related initiatives through broad collaborative skills, deliberate decision making and effective delegation and follow up.

Safety

– Responsible for reporting any safety‑related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attend all safety‑related training programs; perform work in a safe manner; monitor work environment for possible safety issues and ensure others are also performing work in a safe manner.

Regulatory Compliance

– Stay current and comply with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee’s area of responsibility; ensure all certifications and/or licenses are up‑to‑date and valid prior to expiration dates.

Training

– Complete all company mandatory modules and required job‑specific training in the specified time frame; adhere to IT change management rules and documentation requirements.

Qualifications:

Education

– Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or closely related field – or add 10 years of additional experience.

Education

– Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or closely related field – required.

Certification

– Cerner Fundamentals and application education – required within 6 months of hire.

Professional Certifications (2 preferred)

– Certifications that portray advanced level of proficiency relevant to the job responsibilities.

Experience

– Equivalent work experience with a healthcare IT department – preferred.

Experience

– Formal Healthcare Project Management Experience – preferred.

Experience

– CCL and ad hoc investigations experience – preferred.

Experience

– Modifications to and maintenance of ops jobs, purge templates, and unauthenticated data experience – preferred.

Experience

– Minimum 10 years as Cerner Integration Architect – preferred.

Experience

– Minimum 7 years knowledge and experience working with Cerner Millennium solutions – preferred.

Experience

– Minimum 5 years experience – preferred.

Cerner upgrades, service & cumulative package installation, and regression testing.

Cerner security design, build, testing and developing domain strategies for pre and post production domains for multiple phased implementations.

Facilitating Cerner design sessions with vendors, systems engineers, support technicians and super users to determine application requirements and design specifications.
