Principal Sourcing Project Manager – Sourced Products

Responsibilities
Lead self and others to develop and execute sourcing projects and programs aligned to global category strategies with internal requirements, strategic objectives, and current and future market conditions considered.
Engage with Product Management and Engineering prior to concept design to shape sourcing strategy before decisions are finalized.
Leverage proven negotiation skills, understanding of complex commercial terms, and legal frameworks to achieve favorable results for the organization and lead team members as necessary through complex negotiations.
Draft, negotiate, and deliver multifaceted long-term agreements with suppliers with minimal guidance.
Drive accountability and ensure the continuous improvement of the supply base through supplier development activities including regular business reviews.
Anticipate and mitigate risk, specifically global supply-related risks, IP related risks and brand reputation related risks, and exercise appropriate judgement when determining the need for internal escalation.
Establish and maintain relationships with key organizational stakeholders across multiple global regions and influence cross-functional teams to align sourcing with long-term product and business strategy.
Effectively communicate across and upward in the organization for reporting on key performance indicators and for escalation purposes.
Recommend, develop, and implement new processes and refine existing processes across our organization.
Actively contribute to projects in the global supply total cost savings funnel.
Execute sourcing projects and programs with high schedule and budget fidelity.
Demonstrate success in initiating change and influencing at various levels in the organization.
Provide support for mergers and acquisitions as required.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience with project management
Minimum 7 years of related work experience
Extensive experience with contract manufacturing and OEM relationships - including performance, quality, and delivery expectations
Microsoft Office experience – including strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Project
Preferred Education and Experience
MBA or master’s degree highly preferred
PMP or other project management certification
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $103,000 - 159,500
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits
