Game Analyst – Visual Concepts
At Visual Concepts, we believe great games are made by diverse and empowered teams with a shared passion for play. Our Novato, CA headquarters is seeking a full‑time Game Analyst to work directly with the NBA 2K development team on the latest iteration of the NBA 2K franchise. Help us bring the game over the finish line and continue as a meaningful part of the process throughout the product life cycle. What You Will Do
Offer regular feedback and suggestions on difficulty, fun factor, design, and general playability. Regularly test various features and mechanics throughout the game. Identify defects and playability issues and report them clearly and concisely. Follow, maintain, and create test plans to guide coverage and planning. Reproduce issues and test fixes for engineers and producers. Work closely with the development team to help bring the game to the next level. Learn, grow, and evolve with the team to create a fun and unique NBA 2K experience each year. Who Will Be A Great Fit
Technically proficient with PCs and gaming consoles. Computer literacy, specifically MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and database software. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and schedule demands in a fluid environment. Able to take initiative and be proactive, thinking and adjusting quickly on a regular basis. Not afraid to speak your mind and willing to share your opinions and ideas, backing them up as needed. An NBA fan familiar with the sport, players, and history. Passionate about video games (not just ours!), and familiar with the NBA 2K series and its evolution. Previous game development or testing experience is a plus, but not required. Someone looking to move forward in the game industry as a designer, producer, engineer, or artist. Compensation & Benefits
Pay range: $60,000 – $84,000 per year (California). Base pay may vary based on market location and candidate qualifications. Total compensation may include bonus and/or equity awards, plus a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits. If hired, the position is at‑will.
