Senior Consultant – Life Sciences Advisory – Commercial Washington, DC

Overview Guidehouse’s Life Sciences practice helps pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and diagnostic companies develop custom solutions that tackle today’s challenges while anticipating tomorrow’s. As a Senior Consultant, you will partner with clients across all levels to deliver product planning, pricing, reimbursement, product commercialization, and regulatory and compliance solutions.

What You Will Do Senior Consultants contribute to all levels of the consulting process. Responsibilities include:

Analyze scientific, clinical, financial, and strategic information to discern business implications of new technologies and emerging trends.

Conduct primary research interviews with clinicians, thought leaders, and executives in the healthcare industry.

Manage and mentor junior staff.

Prepare and present written reports and presentations to senior management and clients.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Science, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare, Business, or related field and 3+ years of Life Sciences consulting or related experience. Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) can be considered in lieu of experience.

Minimum 1 year of commercialization and launch experience.

Experience managing project components, owning workstreams, and coaching or mentoring others.

Strong analytical skills (Excel, Access, etc.) and ability to use data to guide client and team decision-making.

Advanced data collection and research experience.

Willing and able to travel to client sites across the US, up to 20% of the time.

Authorized to work for any US employer without sponsorship.

Nice to Have

Advanced degree/PhD/PharmD/MBA.

Demonstrated passion for the Healthcare and Life Science industries.

Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to produce client‑ready deliverables including PowerPoint presentations.

Ability to grasp and communicate clinical and business implications of technically complex products and services.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to review work product and produce deliverables that require minimal re‑work or editing.

Collaborative and team player.
