Primary Purpose of this Position:
The Manager, Global Enterprise Strategy drives Ball’s global growth agenda by evaluating new markets, partnerships, and operational opportunities. This role translates complex business challenges into actionable strategies, supporting decision-making across senior leadership and advancing enterprise-wide priorities.
Essential Responsible Areas:
Independently leads complex strategic workstreams from problem definition through recommendation and implementation support, ensuring alignment with Ball’s long-term objectives.
Structures ambiguous business questions and develop clear hypotheses, frameworks, and analyses to drive fact-based decision-making.
Conducts quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate markets, business models, operational levers, and financial impact, particularly in relation to growth opportunities across the various Ball business units and metal packaging value chain.
Synthesizes insights into concise executive-level deliverables (Board presentations, ELT updates, memos, workshops) that influence decision-making at the highest levels.
Facilitates alignment and decision-making across stakeholders, collaborating with functions such as Commercial, Sustainability, Procurement, Finance, and Corporate Development teams, and others as necessary.
Drives strategic planning processes, including the annual evergreen strategy process (enterprise strategy cadence, regional strategy process, account strategies) and corporate annual planning activities (e.g. Annual Operating Plan support, board presentations).
Oversees enterprise-wide competitive intelligence and market expertise, including Global Market Outlook model and geographic whitespace monitoring (together with Corp. Development Team).
Manages external consulting engagements, ensuring output is integrated into Ball’s broader strategy and adds measurable value.
Supports enterprise-level initiatives such as M&A assessments, market expansion opportunities, capability-building efforts, and performance improvement programs.
Coaches junior team members, helping elevate standards of problem-solving, analysis, and executive storytelling across the strategy function.
Experience Required:
5+ years in strategy consulting (top-tier or boutique) and/or corporate strategy roles, preferred.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
Preferred Education: MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
Ability to collaborate across the global enterprise with cross-functional, matrixed partners and various teams.
Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills.
Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
Excellent executive communication skills—both written (PowerPoint, Board materials) and verbal.
MBA or advanced degree preferred but not required.

Compensation & Benefits:
This role can be based remotely; however, regular travel to Ball facilities may be required.
Hiring Salary Range:
$108,500 - $155,030 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
