The AI Hardware team is seeking a Verification Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer to design, build, monitor, and optimize verification workflows critical to silicon development. This role collaborates closely with the verification team, compute cluster administrators, and EDA vendors to accelerate and streamline Tesla’s silicon design processes.

What You’ll Do

Configure and customize workflows using Tesla Corporate IT/DevOps-supported tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence)

Optimize and maintain CI/CD workflows tailored for silicon design projects to ensure rapid iteration and feedback loops

Develop and maintain configurable custom tools and workflows for silicon design tasks, including simulation, regression management, linting, and CDC/RDC analysis

Collaborate with EDA vendors to enhance the performance, scalability, and efficiency of vendor tools

Monitor and troubleshoot verification infrastructure to ensure efficient use of compute and license resources

Automate repetitive verification processes

Document workflows, tools, and best practices

Work with compute cluster administrators to optimize resource allocation, job scheduling, and workload balancing in high‑performance computing environments

What You’ll Bring

Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience

Strong programming skills in Python for scripting, automation, and tool development

Experience with source control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)

Familiarity with software development best practices, including version control, code reviews, and testing methodologies, and their application to silicon design

Understanding of silicon design and verification processes, including simulation, formal verification, and static analysis

Proven ability to work in cross‑functional teams, balancing the needs of hardware engineers, software developers, and IT administrators

Strong problem‑solving skills to debug complex infrastructure issues spanning software, hardware, and network domains

Experience with data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Grafana, Tableau) for workflow and resource monitoring

Prior experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role, particularly in environments supporting hardware design or scientific computing

Familiarity with hardware description languages (e.g., Verilog, VHDL) to better understand the context of verification workflows
