Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to provide technical support and expertise to our customers in the Industrial Automation (IA) business unit, with a specific area of focus on Voice Automated Solutions and Enterprise Mobility Solutions. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring the successful implementation of our solutions, and driving customer satisfaction. Your expertise and commitment to excellence will play a crucial role in the success of our field service operations and the growth of our business.

In this role, you will support the development of on‑site installation, servicing and repair processes of complex equipment and systems. You will provide technical presentations to an audience of customers, other industry peers and competitors. You will achieve revision and correction of work instructions and customer‑facing training guides used by field installation specialists.

You will drive continuous improvement initiatives in the processes related to field services and product development. You will lead cross‑functional groups to quickly fix any administrative difficulties relating to delivery and installation of proper equipment. You will act as an escalation point for Field Service Specialists, Service Engineers, and other stakeholders. You will report directly to our Field Service Engineering Supervisor, and you’ll work out of the state of Texas. You will work remotely when not on travel assignment.

Key Responsibilities

Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues for our customers

Lead and manage technical projects and tasks

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful implementation of our solutions

Conduct training sessions for customers and field service engineers

Stay updated with industry trends and advancements and provide recommendations for improvement

Implementation and deployment of Honeywell Solutions

Educate and write documentation for customers and field technicians

Travel domestically and internationally, up to 25%, for onsite implementations and support

Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE

Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in field service engineering, with a focus on technical solutions

3+ years of technical experience implementing and supporting IT Systems

Customer service experience

Experience supporting customers remotely and on‑site

Organizational skills, ability to take initiative and work with limited direction

Ability to be on a 24/7 on‑call rotation schedule

Ability to travel domestically and internationally, for onsite implementations and support, up to 25%

Bilingual (English/Spanish)

WE VALUE

Associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience

IT, Project Management, and other technical certifications

Previous experience in Logistics, warehousing or supply chain

Previous experience with Linux, Windows Server and MS SQL

Experience in leading field service projects

Strong leadership and mentoring skills

Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated with industry advancements

Results‑oriented approach and ability to drive projects to successful completion

Good written and oral communication
