We're Hiring: Sr. Associate Scientist (Contract) - Polysaccharide Analytical Development!
We are seeking an energetic and talented individual to join our polysaccharide team. Primary responsibility for the contractor will be to support the developmental activities currently ongoing in the laboratory as assigned.

Pay Scale:
$112,320 - $131,040 Annually (DOE)
What You’ll Do
Perform in-house assays for polysaccharide sample testing and drug candidate characterization using HPLC-based assays (HPLC-RI, HPAEC-PAD, etc.), colorimetric assays (Lowry, PicoGreen, etc.), enzyme-based assays (ELISA/MSD), and spectrophotometric assays.
Assist in developing and optimizing analytical methods for sample preparation, testing, and characterization.
Utilize software platforms such as Empower and Chromeleon for HPLC data analysis.
Summarize data and communicate to cross‑functional teams timely and clearly.
Ensure meticulous documentation, record‑keeping, and data integrity in compliance with laboratory standards.
Demonstrate eagerness to learn new concepts and integrate best practices into laboratory operations.
What We’re Looking For
✅ MSc in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry preferred; or BSc with minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
✅ Background in analytical chemistry principles and hands‑on experience with modern analytical instrumentation commonly used in drug candidate analysis.
✅ Proficiency in chemical/biological/immunological assays such as HPLC, UV‑Vis, CE, colorimetric methods, ELISA, and MSD.
✅ Experience in in‑process sample preparation and testing.
✅ Experience in carbohydrate analysis desired, particularly in HPAEC‑PAD, HPLC, SEC‑MALS, and LC‑MS.
✅ Experience using Empower and/or Chromeleon for HPLC data analysis.
✅ Knowledge of analytical method development/qualification concepts.
✅ Attention to detail and excellent skills in record‑keeping/documentation.
✅ Critical thinking and ability to analyze data.
✅ Experience in lab information management systems (LIMS) preferred.
✅ Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written formats.
✅ Ability to work under supervision in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment and collaborate effectively with other team members.
✅ Eagerness and ability to learn and understand new concepts with ease.
