Seeking a skilled Maintenance and Engineering Manager to lead maintenance operations and engineering initiatives at a manufacturing facility. This role ensures equipment reliability, manages capital projects, and supports continuous improvement in safety, quality, and cost performance.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all maintenance activities including preventive, predictive, and emergency repairs
Supervise mechanics and electricians, ensuring effective task assignment and performance
Plan and execute capital projects, including budgeting and contractor oversight
Manage site utilities such as wastewater treatment and fire protection systems
Troubleshoot and optimize plant systems including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems
Maintain service records and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, OSHA, PSM, and other standards
Monitor maintenance KPIs to drive reliability and cost reduction
Coordinate and manage third-party contractors
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in plant-level maintenance or engineering, preferably in a chemical or industrial setting
Experience managing projects over $100,000
Strong background in electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLC and DCS
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
Solid understanding of EHS and PSM protocols
Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office, and control systems software
Familiarity with mechanical/process equipment, piping systems, material handling, and heavy machinery
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable codes and standards
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering—or equivalent industry experience
Ability to work in outdoor environments, climb stairs, wear a full-face respirator, and lift up to
50 lbs occasionally
