We’re seeking a senior individual contributor who blends hands‑on design with strategic influence. The VP of UX Design will lead the vision and execution of transformative experiences for the GP Solutions segment within MSCI’s Private Assets business, shaping next‑generation solutions including AI‑led product design while collaborating closely with cross‑functional partners and the wider UX design team.

Responsibilities

Lead the full product design lifecycle, from discovery and ideation through delivery and iteration, ensuring intuitive, cohesive, and scalable experiences.

Design innovative interaction models for complex and AI‑driven features, focusing on usability, trust, transparency, and end‑user value.

Act as a thought partner to product, engineering, and business leaders, shaping requirements, influencing priorities, and aligning roadmaps through design expertise.

Foster collaboration across functions, breaking silos and ensuring user needs remain central in decision‑making and execution.

Deliver high‑fidelity UI and UX assets, including dashboards, data visualizations, prototypes, and user flows that reflect both design precision and strategic intent.

Guide implementation in agile sprints, providing clear design specifications while ensuring quality execution.

Mentor and inspire junior designers, modeling best practices in design thinking, problem‑solving, and user advocacy.

Advance and evolve design standards and systems that elevate consistency, usability, and innovation across Private Assets products.

Qualifications

12+ years of experience applying user‑centered design methodologies, with expertise in complex product ecosystems; experience with AI‑driven design strongly preferred.

Mastery of design tools such as Figma and FigJam; experience with AI design tools (e.g., Figma Make, Lovable) a plus.

Strong portfolio demonstrating advanced UI design and the ability to deliver both hands‑on execution and strategic direction.

Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, align cross‑functional teams, and mentor junior designers to raise the bar on design excellence.

Well‑versed in Agile product design practices and the software development lifecycle, integrating design seamlessly into iterative delivery models.

Direct self and others in both planning and structuring the work, executing on expected levels of quality.

Experience designing for financial services or payments solutions is a plus.

Salary range: $148,000 – $192,000 /year plus eligible for annual bonus.
