ROLE OVERVIEW Woodmont Real Estate is seeking a
Compliance Manager
to join our team and oversee affordable housing compliance across our portfolio. This role ensures adherence to LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, HOME, and other affordable housing programs while supporting Property Managers with income certifications, audits, and reporting. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys collaborating with a team of upbeat and dedicated professionals who balance hard work with a positive, team-oriented culture.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Monitor compliance with affordable housing regulations (LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, HOME, etc.) across assigned properties.
Review and approve resident files, certifications, and recertifications for accuracy and completeness.
Coordinate internal and external audits, prepare compliance reports, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Provide training, coaching, and support to Property Managers and staff on compliance standards, policies, and program updates.
Develop and update compliance policies, ensuring alignment with current laws and best practices.
Partner with regional leadership teams to maintain program integrity and meet organizational compliance goals.
Utilize property management software (RealPage, MRI, or similar) to manage compliance data and reporting.
Conduct property visits to review files, support on-site teams, and provide hands‑on guidance.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Professional Experience
5+ years of experience in affordable housing compliance, property management, or related field.
Proven track record managing LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, HOME, or similar programs.
Experience leading compliance audits, reporting to agencies, and advising property teams.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local affordable housing regulations.
High attention to detail and ability to analyze compliance documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, residents, and external agencies.
Proficiency in property management software (RealPage, MRI, or comparable systems).
Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
Ability to multi‑task, prioritize deadlines, and problem‑solve in a fast‑paced environment.
Education & Licenses/Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, or related field preferred.
Industry certifications such as HCCP, COS, TCS, or C3P strongly preferred.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the service area.

COMPENSATION Woodmont Real Estate Services has detailed the expected hourly base rate for this role to be
$95,000 - $105,000 annually.
This does not include any other potential components of the compensation package, including bonuses, benefits, and perks outlined above. At the launch of each position, we benchmark compensation to the appropriate role, utilizing competitive compensation data from various data sources as references. At the time of offer, we use the signals we received from our interviews coupled with your experience, location, and other job‑related factors to determine final compensation.
This position may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus (eligibility may vary based on role).
