Library Director

The City of Fullerton is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and community-focused leader with a passion for public service and lifelong learning to serve as its next Library Director. This dynamic individual will combine a strong foundation in traditional library services with the creativity and vision to lead the Library into the future. The ideal candidate is an engaged and visible leader who builds strong partnerships across the community and champions the library’s role as a free, inclusive, and accessible public resource. They are a visionary and innovative thinker—able to balance long-term strategic planning with daily operations, modernize facilities and services, and ensure the Library remains responsive to evolving community needs. This role requires a people-centered manager and mentor who fosters a supportive, team-oriented culture and inspires excellence in staff at all levels.
