Canyon Ridge Hospital is a 157‑bed acute, locked psychiatric facility in the Greater Inland Empire, serving adolescents (13‑17) and adults since 1989. Our mission is to be a leader in behavioral healthcare, dedicated to excellent service in the community.
Position Summary The Music Facilitator (Contractor) is responsible for teaching patients the use of music and voice within a therapeutic setting to promote emotional, cognitive, physical, and social integration. Expressive music sessions focus on learning adaptive skills, reducing stress and anxiety, and promoting inner peace.
Responsibilities
Teach patients music and voice techniques within therapeutic sessions.
Use music, singing, and sound to promote emotional and cognitive integration.
Create adaptive skills, reduce stress, and promote inner peace.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in music, psychology, humanities, social work, or related therapeutic discipline, or relevant work experience in music performance/production.
Must hold liability insurance.
