The
Instrumentation Technician II
is responsible for supporting the metrology team. This role involves performing various tasks, including in‑house calibrations, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a range of equipment, such as High‑Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), balances, timers, and other lab equipment. Additionally, the position requires coordinating on‑site services related to preventive maintenance and calibration of lab equipment. Also, support the accuracy of the calibration and maintenance database in the equipment management system and the ability to provide KPI reports.
This position reports to the Metrology Manager and is part of the Metrology team located in Torrance, California and will be an on‑site role.
In This Role
Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) on HPLC systems and in‑house calibrations following internal procedures and/or per the manufacturer’s manuals. Investigate and resolve discrepancies within the calibrated instruments, and document any out‑of‑tolerance occurrences following internal procedures.
Ensure that calibration and PM related documents are filled out accurately according to the company’s Good Documentation Practices and are completed before uploading them into the equipment management system.
Maintain the Kanban system within Maintenance Connection or other applicable software. Ensure that the Kanban system is updated within a day or two upon receiving new spare parts. Additionally, update the Kanban system immediately when issuing parts for repairs and maintenance.
The Essential Requirements Of The Role Include
High school diploma and 3+ years related experience OR
College degree and 2+ years related experience.
Minimum 2+ years experience using HPLC systems and chromatography software.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in
ASQ Calibration Technician Certificate a plus
Maintaining awareness of industry regulations pertaining to calibration (e.g., ISO 17025).
Strong customer service skills.

Compensation The hourly range for this role is
$30.00 - $36.00 . This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
