as an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) and provide essential perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Your clinical expertise and teamwork are vital in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment.
Base Pay Range Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) – Amergis. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities
Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative care.
Prepare patients for surgery, including pre‑operative assessments and education.
Assist in surgical procedures by maintaining sterile technique and anticipating surgical team needs.
Monitor patient status intraoperatively, including vital signs and anesthesia response.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency.
Provide post‑operative care and education to patients and families.
Maintain adherence to infection control, safety, and quality standards.
Respond promptly to emergencies and unexpected changes in patient condition.
Advocate for patients while upholding confidentiality and patient rights.
Minimum Requirements
Active RN license in the state of practice.
At least one year of professional nursing experience (OR experience preferred).
Completion of Amergis’ Competency Program (if applicable).
Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
Knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile technique, and OR protocols.
TB screening and health clearance (as required).
Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Successful completion of new hire orientation and OR training.
Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
Basic computer literacy.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
