Position: Catering Sales Manager – Denver, CO
Base Salary: $57,000 – $60,000/year with up to 30% bonus potential. Job Close Date: November 13, 2025.

Solicit, negotiate, and book new and repeat catering business to maximize banquet space and exceed revenue goals. Acquire referrals from existing accounts and follow up on all leads within 24 hours. Execute a territorial marketing strategy to capture maximum revenue and meet or exceed sales goals. Plan, upsell, and detail the meeting/function with clients, including space requirements, times, equipment, menus, themes, and decorations. Prepare contracts, banquet event orders, coordinate with appropriate hotel areas, and resolve any issues to ensure a quality product delivery and customer satisfaction. Prepare status and period‑end reports. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of corporate and hotel procedures, products, and competition to continually improve sales strategies. Communicate professionally and positively with guests and fellow associates. Education and Training
Two or more years of post‑high‑school education. Experience
Minimum one year in sales/event, customer service‑related position, or hotel experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Thorough knowledge of catering, food and beverage, menu development, and pricing procedures. Knowledge of hotel policies and procedures with the ability to determine course of action based on these guidelines. Ability to investigate and analyze current activities and data, draw logical conclusions, and make recommendations. Strong negotiation, persuasion, selling, and influencing communication skills. Self‑motivated to drive outside sales calls. Excellent comprehension and literacy required to develop marketing plans, create menus, and design programs. Physical Demands
Excellent hearing, vision, and speech communication skills required for verbal interaction with guests and associates. Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 lb. occasionally. Bending and kneeling occasionally to tap down cords and pick up floor after functions. Mobility to service clients on short notice; continuous standing for 1–4 hours. Climbing up to 55 steps.
