Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and continually improve environmental, health, and safety programs and procedures to ensure personnel and plant-wide compliance with environmental regulations.
Support critical compliance programs across the site, including RCRA hazardous waste, Air/Water permit compliance, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), Spill Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plan and others.
Conduct EHS audits to assess EHS management system implementation and efficiency, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
Collaborate closely with internal and external organizations on EHS compliance issues to help propel the business forward.
Build and implement vital programs that fulfill state, federal, and local requirements.
Lead and collaborate with operational teams to achieve compliance and sustainability goals.
Prepare compliance reports, quantify environmental impacts, and participate in regulatory inspections.
Manage Air, Water, Stormwater General and Construction Permits, Spill Control Countermeasures and Control Plan, and conduct inspections.
Manage hazardous waste programs, schedule shipments, and conduct inspections.
Lead compliance audits and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with applicable laws and conformance with ISO14001.
Represent Micron in a professional and effective manner to both internal and external parties.
Respond to environmental issues and carry/answer the on-call phone when assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
Prior experience managing environmental compliance programs.
Solid understanding of CWA, CAA, RCRA, CERCLA, and ISO14001.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong data analysis, problem solving, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
Previous experience as an environmental engineer.
