Mental Health Associate - Full Time or Part Time
Arbour Hospital is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Associate to provide therapeutic care across a continuum of behavioral health services. The position requires working every other weekend and includes competitive shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment.
Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors.
Assist with patient groups and activities.
Work with culturally and generationally diverse populations to meet individual needs.
Provide trauma‑informed and age‑specific care.
Maintain therapeutic boundaries and utilize crisis intervention techniques.
Position is full time (32 hours per week) or part time (24 hours per week). Day shift (7‑3:30 p), evening shift (3‑11:30 p), or overnight shift (11:00 p‑7:30 a).
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
College student who has obtained or is pursuing a degree in behavioral health, psychology, or human services is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Impeccable judgment and professionalism.
Ability to maintain composure in a crisis situation.
