invites applications for a full‑time
Cardiovascular Surgeon
with specialized training in Transplantation and Mechanical Circulatory Support to join our highly skilled multidisciplinary team. Applicants should have experience in teaching residents and fellows and a passion for caring for complex cardiovascular patients.
Job Duties
Perform advanced adult cardiovascular surgical operations including complex coronary revascularization, valve repair and replacement, mechanical circulatory support and ECMO procedures as well as cardiac transplant, lung transplant, and procurement operations.
Support and contribute to a growing practice with highly collaborative and interdependent quality systems to achieve successful patient outcomes.
Participate in scholarly activity, resident education, and system‑wide quality initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
MD/DO and board certification by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
Completion of a general surgery residency program and cardiothoracic surgery fellowship (or integrated residency program) with additional specialty training in cardiopulmonary transplantation and mechanical circulatory support; minimum two years of employment experience following training.
Licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice medicine in Indiana.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively in a large dynamic health system.
Commitment to teaching fellows, residents, and medical students.
Passion for innovation and investigation in the specialty of cardiothoracic surgery.
