Program Coordinator (Manhattanville/Resource Center) The Goddard Riverside Community Center and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center serve approximately 30,000 New Yorkers in Manhattan. Through community‑based programs, they support children, youth, families, homeless individuals, and older adults, promoting a fair and just society.

Organization Overview The Isaacs Center focuses on children, low‑income families, out‑of‑school youth, and aging New Yorkers in East Harlem and Yorkville, delivering innovative, intergenerational services.

Program Description The Manhattanville (MNVL) Resource Center is a social service hub located in West Harlem’s NYCHA development. It exclusively serves MNVL residents, assisting them with entitlements, benefits, and a range of services including benefits screening, financial counseling, legal consultation, and community referrals.

Position Summary The Program Coordinator leads the MNVL/Resource Center, integrating services, supporting staff, and assuming overall leadership in the absence of the Assistant Program Director and Program Director.

Schedule Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional evening/weekend hours as required.

Salary Range $50,000 – $55,000.

Role, Responsibilities, and Essential Duties

Oversee the delivery of social services and community programming to residents.

Collaborate with NYCHA and the PACT team to develop a service coordination model that connects residents to Section 8 and other available services.

Develop a referral plan for the Family Self‑Sufficient program, using NYCHA’s Opportunity Connect portal and succession systems.

Report metrics on all services provided to residents.

Meet regularly with management, development partners, and Tenant Association members/resident leaders.

Facilitate focus groups and job fairs.

Guide onsite staff on program goals, share data, and facilitate communication to support residents’ needs.

Outreach Services

Coordinate and manage all outreach operations, including marketing and engagement efforts to connect with tenants.

Oversee logistics and operational aspects of outreach initiatives related to Education and Workforce Development for residents.

Organize on‑ and off‑site activities, workshops, and community‑building events.

Represent the Resource Center at external events such as community board meetings and local CBO events.

Manage and contribute to special projects, ensuring all operational components are addressed.

Resource Center Team Member

Collaborate with case managers and outreach workers to ensure cohesive program delivery.

Attend staff, community, and case conferences, as well as training and supervision meetings.

Provide guidance to staff on day‑to‑day operations and client case issues.

Qualifications / Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in human services or psychology.

Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience working with low‑income populations.

Knowledge of government benefits.

Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.

Strong communication skills.

Team player.

Computer Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Ability to use or learn electronic databases such as Single‑Stop.

Physical Requirements

Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.

Frequent walking and standing.

Work Environment

On‑site work located in West Harlem on the MNVL NYCHA development.
