Position Summary Yeshiva University seeks a full-time Director to lead a new initiative dedicated to advanced Torah study for women. Reporting to the university's Provost's Office, the Director will shape the initiative's vision and programs, mentor students, oversee staff and administration, and engage with the broader Jewish community; the director may also teach Jewish Studies courses at Stern College and in other schools/units as appropriate.

This appointment is supported by external grant funds and is therefore contingent upon the continued availability of such funds.

Position Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic goals, programs, and policies aligned with the initiative's mission

Oversee recruitment, admissions, mentorship, and collaborate on curricular design

Build partnerships with community organizations to support graduates' career paths

Manage staff and resources, ensuring alignment with university standards and procedures

Cultivate a strong alumni network and design professional development and cohort-building experiences

Facilitate alumni relations, including mentorship programs, professional development opportunities, and leadership retreats

Organize cohort-building activities and immersive experiences to foster community among scholars

Experience & Educational Background

Advanced degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., or equivalent) in Jewish Studies, Education, or related field; ABD will be considered

At least 10 years of leadership experience in education, nonprofit, or Jewish communal settings

Demonstrated excellence in Torah scholarship, teaching, writing, and mentorship

Expertise in program development, staff supervision, mentorship, and community outreach

Familiarity with Orthodox Jewish communities and the landscape of women's Torah education

Skills & Competencies

Strategic thinking and visionary leadership

Strong communication and organizational skills

Capacity to manage multiple projects in a dynamic academic environment

Ability to cultivate and train future Jewish educators and leaders

Salary Range $150,000-$200,000
