The Director of Information Technology will lead and oversee all aspects of our IT operations. This role will be responsible for managing the company’s IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, application development, and end-user support. The experienced, strategic, and hands-on Director of IT will play a critical leadership role in aligning technology initiatives with business goals to drive operational efficiency, innovation, and growth.
This position manages a team including help desk support, system administrators, and other IT professionals, and will collaborate closely with other departments to ensure the company’s technology stack supports both current and future business needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Strategic Leadership Develop and implement the company’s IT strategy aligned with organizational objectives. Advise executive leadership on emerging technologies and trends. Lead IT budgeting, planning, and vendor management efforts.
Infrastructure & Networking Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of a secure and scalable IT infrastructure. Manage network operations including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
Cybersecurity & Compliance Develop and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and controls. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Monitor systems for potential vulnerabilities and respond to security incidents.
User Support & Operations Manage and support the help desk team to ensure responsive and high-quality IT support. Implement ITIL or similar frameworks for incident, problem, and change management. Drive end-user training and support best practices for system usage. Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing IT team. Establish goals, conduct performance reviews, and foster a collaborative team culture. Develop succession planning and training opportunities for IT staff.
QUALIFICATIONS Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred). CISSP, CISM, or similar cybersecurity credentials, preferred PMP, ITIL, or related IT operations certification, preferred
Experience Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role. Proven experience managing cross-functional IT teams including help desk, infrastructure, and systems administration. Strong project management skills and experience implementing large-scale IT projects. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting (preferred).
