Job Description
You will be an Analytics / Machine Learning Engineer in our Software Engineering organization.
What You Will Be Doing
Leverage advanced analytics, web development, data engineering, and machine learning to drive data-driven decision-making across MFC engineering and production
Apply advanced statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization methods to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data from engineering development and production sources
Develop, implement, and advocate for AI-powered solutions
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with researchers and engineers to identify opportunities for AI/ML applications and develop proof-of-concepts
Establish rigorous standards for ML Ops strategies for various programs and applications
Maintain AI/ML systems, including data pipelines, model training, optimization, and deployment
Stay current with the latest advancements in AI/ML, including new algorithms, techniques, and tools
Collaborate with external partners, including academia and industry, to advance ML Ops research and applications

Basic Qualifications
Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of experience in AI/ML research and deployment, with a strong background in ML Ops
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++
Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn
Excellent software development skills, with experience in version control systems such as Git
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Desired Skills
Experience with ML pipeline packages such as Flyte, Kubeflow pipelines, and MLFlow
Experience with data storage libraries such as Feathr and LakeFS
Familiarity with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
Strong understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning techniques.
Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems
Experience in deployment of AI and statistical algorithm systems on high performance compute infrastructure.
Experience with AI/ML ethics, fairness, and transparency

Remote Telework Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. National Pay Statement Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,900 - $184,920. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
