Job Summary

The Director, Game Entertainment and Special Events will develop and execute all entertainment for Arizona Cardinals games and events, creating a unique, fan‑friendly experience. The role oversees all game day entertainment, team events, and special occasions, ensuring consistency with organizational marketing, sales, and broadcast initiatives. The position is primarily based at the Tempe office but requires attendance at all home games and team functions at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.

Primary Job Duties

Plan and coordinate Cardinals game day entertainment: pre‑game presentations, National Anthem, color guard, halftime performances, in‑game promotions, and outdoor entertainment.

Executive produce video board presentation, run‑of‑show, and in‑game show direction.

Create entertainment timelines and scripts for PA and game presentation production.

Collaborate with Cardinals Business, Broadcast, Production, and Stadium Operations to execute game day.

Develop new and creative pre‑game events, in‑game entertainment, and stadium promotions.

Oversee game day entertainment and promotions staff (cheerleaders, drumline, flag runners, mascot, production, and promotional staff).

Direct report to Director/ Cardinals Cheerleaders and Coordinator.

Plan and execute team special events (Draft Party, Day #3 Draft, Cardinals Climb, golf outings, parades, etc.).

Support Cardinals Charities and Community Relations events.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum seven years in professional broadcast sports entertainment or NFL/Special Events.

Deep passion and knowledge of sports, entertainment, and special events.

Ability to supervise a variety of staff.

Work non‑traditional hours: nights, weekends, holidays.

Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem‑solving skills in a live event environment.

Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and committed to excellence.

Strong understanding of brand standards.

Ability to lift 25 lbs.

Willingness to travel 2–3 times a year for air travel and overnight stays.

Primary location: Tempe, AZ practice facility with attendance at all home games and team functions at State Farm Stadium.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; hours vary by business needs.
