About Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center
Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center is a private, not-for-profit, community health care provider, governed by a community-based board of trustees. Since its founding in 1973, the original 59‑bed, short‑stay hospital has grown into a comprehensive acute care medical center with 226 licensed beds. In June 1998, Howard County General Hospital joined Johns Hopkins Medicine. In June 2023, the hospital was renamed Howard County Medical Center.

Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) is licensed by the State of Maryland through national examination for the practice of nursing. The RN is educationally prepared for competent practice at the beginning level upon graduation from an approved school of nursing. The RN assumes the primary responsibility and accountability for the delivery of all patient care.
Position Details
Pediatrics
24 hrs / week
12‑hour shift 7 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Education / Experience
BSN Preferred.
RN’s without a BSN must enroll in a BSN program within 6 months and complete degree within 4 years of their start date.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience preferred.
Licensure / Certification
Current Maryland RN license or licensure in a compact state that allows practice in Maryland.
CPR required.
ACLS required for Labor and Delivery, Short Stay (Observation Unit), Cardiac Catheterization (Interventional Cardiovascular Lab), Endoscopy, Cardiac Rehab, Infusion Services Clinic, Pulmonary Function.
Salary Range Minimum 37.13/hour - Maximum 57.87/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
