Responsibilities
Represent the hotel through proposals and external sales presentations to prospective customers, negotiate contracts and close hotel sales.
Travel outside the hotel to meet with and entertain customers, participate in tradeshows, industry and community events to promote facilities and close deals.
Write proposals and/or contracts to advise prospective groups for meeting space and/or banquet date, space and price availability for Corporate, Association and Group Tour. Develop and quote prices for same.
Attend weekly sales departmental meetings and other scheduled meetings to support business operations.
Conduct site inspections and property tours with potential customers, visiting guestrooms, meeting space and banquet facilities.
Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience in hotel sales.
Familiar with Delphi and deep understanding of the Portland market.
Demonstrated hospitality, integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and urgency.
