With an expanding portfolio designed to improve patient outcomes through faster, more comprehensive detection, the company is entering an exciting scale up phase across the U.S. market. Backed by a major life sciences investment firm, the business is now seeking a proven Vice President of Sales to lead its commercial expansion and establish a high performance sales culture nationwide.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Vice President of Sales will take full responsibility for defining and delivering the U.S. sales strategy. The role will focus on building commercial capability, driving market adoption, and positioning the company as a preferred partner across hospitals, reference laboratories, and integrated delivery networks.
This is a senior leadership position for an executive who thrives in fast paced, entrepreneurial environments and who brings the discipline and experience to scale a growing diagnostics business.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a national sales strategy aligned with corporate growth and investor objectives
Lead, coach, and expand a U.S. sales team focused on infectious disease, syndromic, and microbiology markets
Build and maintain strategic relationships across hospital systems, reference labs, and public health institutions
Deliver consistent revenue growth through disciplined sales execution and pipeline management
Partner closely with marketing, medical affairs, and product management to support market awareness and adoption
Establish robust sales forecasting, reporting, and performance metrics to ensure accountability
Represent the company at key industry conferences and customer engagements
Support the leadership team and investors with input on pricing, contracting, and channel strategies
Experience and Profile
Minimum of ten years’ experience in commercial leadership within diagnostics, infectious disease, microbiology, or syndromic testing
Demonstrated success scaling national teams and driving strong revenue growth in a PE backed or high growth diagnostics business
Deep understanding of the U.S. healthcare and laboratory market landscape, particularly within hospital and reference lab networks
Proven ability to launch and commercialize advanced diagnostic technologies
Strong financial and analytical skills with a focus on operational excellence
Effective communicator, comfortable influencing at both executive and investor level
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
