Overview
Blackbaud is hiring a Corporate Strategy & Development Analyst who will be a key member of the Corporate Strategy team. The Corporate Strategy team operates as an internal business development and consultancy for Blackbaud and plays a critical role in the development of corporate and business unit strategy, long range planning and M&A execution. This is a high‑profile role supporting both our M&A strategy and providing strategic analysis used by senior executives at Blackbaud in support of critical decisions. This role will report to the Director of Corporate Strategy and Development.
Responsibilities
Play a critical role in the M&A evaluation process, from idea generation and outreach through to transaction execution and close. Manage M&A candidate pipeline, own the deal model and financial projections, lead valuation analysis (DCF, market multiples, precedent transactions, accretion/dilution modeling), provide ad‑hoc diligence support and analysis, and support deal structuring and negotiation strategy.
Maintain the corporate long‑range model and conduct scenario analysis, either as lead owner of the model or in support of a corporate finance lead.
Conduct strategic analysis to support planning initiatives by structuring complex problems, analyzing large data sets, and delivering actionable insights and recommendations across areas such as capital allocation scenarios and prioritization (M&A vs share repurchase vs debt repayment), public company peer benchmarking, market scans, competitive landscape analysis and general market research, build vs buy scenario modeling, TAM penetration and market opportunity analysis.
What you’ll bring
Minimum 1–3 years of comparable work experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity / Venture Capital, Corporate Strategy / Corporate Development, Management Consulting, or Valuation.
Extensive knowledge of Excel and three‑statement financial modelling.
Understanding of valuation methodologies, financial statement analysis and financial due diligence.
Experience delivering accurate market analysis and conducting research.
Experience with CapitalIQ or other research databases preferred.
Software industry is preferred.

Starting base pay is $87,700.00 to $114,200.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, Company finances, and other operational considerations.
