The Data Science & Analytics team uses data-driven insights to inform decisions about member behavior, preferences, and trends. We are seeking a passionate and motivated Senior Data Scientist to join Tinder’s Revenue team. In this role you will partner with Design, Product, Engineering, Machine Learning, and Finance teams to help drive the product roadmap. You will apply expertise in product analytics, monetization strategies, and data science methods to support pricing, ML offers, and premium experiences. This role will have broad latitude and high expectations for analyses, models, and plans shared with the executive team to shape the product roadmap. Where you’ll work
This is a hybrid role and requires in-office collaboration three times per week in Los Angeles, CA. Responsibilities
Evaluate the impact of new features and monetization initiatives holistically, measuring effects on revenue, user engagement, and long-term retention; translate findings into clear recommendations for product and executive stakeholders Partner with product revenue leads to identify new opportunities by leveraging data to inform new business initiatives Design, execute, and analyze A/B and paired market experiments to ensure statistically valid results guard against noise and biases Partner with Product and ML teams to refine and scale pricing, forecasting, and uplift models; deliver actionable insights into user-segment behavior, market dynamics, and monetization opportunities Work in a fast-paced environment with concise, impactful communication directly to executive leadership Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics, data science, and pricing strategies Qualifications
Bachelor’s, Master’s, and/or Ph.D. in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Physics, or related fields) 4+ years of professional experience in Data Science and/or analytics 2+ years of industry experience in pricing strategy or monetization analytics; preferably in related industries (mobile apps, two-sided marketplaces, online dating, social networks, etc.) Advanced understanding of descriptive statistics and experimentation, with ability to implement at scale Expertise with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or Mode); proficiency in Python or R Resilience and agility to adapt quickly and prioritize high-impact projects Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects and driving impact with data-driven insights Perks and benefits
