What You’ll Do In The Role
Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
Responsible for and lead aspects of individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging in-depth knowledge of Finance functional area, product and/or client segments
Adhere to the Firm’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; proactively identify ways to reduce risk in work
Act as a culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
Prepare and present financials results to key stakeholders in the business unit, finance and other key areas of the firm.
Review Books and Records as part of the month end close process.
Review and understand the daily pnl results.
Review and understand the FRS flows and allocations across the firm.
Work closely with the Business Unit on ad-hoc requests as well as develop and enhance existing processes and controls.
Develop strategic solutions to respond to business developments, whilst collaborating with internal clients in the Business Units, Technology, Operations & Finance.
Review and opine on new booking models that the business is looking to implement.
Manage, attract, develop and retain talent for team within Finance while creating an inclusive environment; translate Firmwide goals into actionable goals for department/function
What You’ll Bring To The Role
In-depth knowledge of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environment
Ability to operate independently with respect to most job responsibilities
Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and innovate processes
Product Control experience that can be leveraged in your new role
Ability to work in a fast paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong analytical, communication, problem solving and project management skills.
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with senior internal clients across different areas of the organization.
Proficient with MS Office application, particularly, PowerPoint and Excel.
Team player that is willing to provide support to the entire team.
Digital tooling knowledge like Alteryx would be an advantage
At least 4 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $95,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
