Cost Analyst – Finance & Operations

Cost Analyst
to join our Finance team. This role bridges Finance and Operations, focusing on cost analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and inventory processes in the food or manufacturing industry. Responsibilities
Lead and support financial costing and inventory analysis initiatives. Maintain and evaluate Bills of Materials (BOM) and standard costs to align with production processes. Analyze purchase price variances, inventory losses, and conversion cost drivers to identify trends and areas for improvement. Support month‑end close by reconciling inventory, preparing journal entries, and ensuring cost accuracy. Partner with Operations on forecasting raw materials and budgeting inventory‑related expenses. Document and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures related to inventory management. Provide ad‑hoc reporting and analysis for cost of goods manufactured (COGM), cost of goods sold (COGS), and inventory trends. Assist in maintaining ERP data integrity and system functionality (Microsoft Dynamics 365). What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally in manufacturing or food production. Proficiency in
inventory cost accounting
and
purchase price variance analysis . Experience with
Microsoft Dynamics 365
(or similar ERP system). Advanced
Excel
skills (pivot tables, nested formulas, macros). Experience with
Power BI
or
Power Automate
preferred. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Self‑starter attitude with a drive for continuous improvement. Benefits
