DevOps Infrastructure Engineer W2. 3 days on site per week in South San Francisco, CA. No C2C.
The Early Clinical Development (ECD) department is seeking a talented and motivated DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer to report to the Software Engineering leader within the Clinical Data Insights & Automation (CDI&A) team. The CDI&A team partners with a wide range of stakeholders including Clinical Science, Clinical Operations, Medical Writing, Quality, and Regulatory to create industry‑leading solutions for highly complex business problems.
Responsibilities
Build, deploy, and maintain the infrastructure for cutting‑edge software that leverages generative AI models and applications.
Work closely with data analysts, full‑stack developers, and others to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of innovative solutions.
Directly impact our ability to deliver AI‑driven tools that solve complex problems and enhance user experiences.

A seasoned DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer with a passion for automation and deep understanding of CI/CD principles.
A problem‑solver who thrives on tackling complex technical challenges related to application deployment, service reliability, and system scalability.
Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies, skilled in managing large‑scale distributed applications.
Comfortable optimizing performance for high‑traffic workloads and has a strong foundation in software engineering.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
Minimum Requirements
3 years of DevOps experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS (EKS, RDS, EC2).
Experience with caching and data store technologies like Redis.
Hands‑on experience with containerization (Podman, Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm Charts).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and GitOps (Argo CD).
Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Portkey, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
Experience with cloud data warehousing / analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
Proficiency in full‑stack application development.
Knowledge of system administration, particularly with Linux.
Experience with security best practices and compliance frameworks.
Strong incident management and root‑cause analysis skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with microservices architecture and managing distributed systems.
Experience with DevSecOps practices and security scanning tools.
Experience with database administration and management, including performance tuning, backups, and disaster recovery.
Experience with cloud cost optimization strategies, performance engineering, and application optimization.
Position requires on‑site 3 days per week in South San Francisco, CA.
