Retail Store Manager II New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlets – Nashua, NH

Full‑time – Pay range $19.96 – $26.41 per hour. State of New Hampshire, Liquor Commission.

Position Summary To supervise and coordinate activities of personnel associated with daily working operations of a New Hampshire Retail Outlet Store, ensure exceptional customer service satisfaction, maximize profits, and implement and follow all New Hampshire Liquor Commission rules and policies.

Minimum Qualifications

Equivalent combination of 2.5 years of education and experience after completion of high school.

At least 1 year in a supervisory position in a retail environment involving cash‑handling.

Valid driver’s license.

Ability to lift material up to 25 lb and frequent lifting of cases up to 60 lb.

Able to work a schedule that includes day, evening, and weekend hours.

Key Responsibilities

Provides exceptional customer service, building a loyal customer base.

Acts as a store manager in medium‑volume retail environment or occasional manager in large‑volume environment.

Supervises staff, schedules assignments, reviews work, evaluates performance, and provides training.

Manages inventory based on sales or projected demand, studies trends, adjusts orders, monitors movement, and counts product.

Supervises and verifies unloading of store merchandise deliveries.

Prepares and transmits regular and special reports covering sales, stock, deposits, and other activities; verifies register sales and makes bank deposits, resolving conflicting or voided sales transactions.

Monitors and maintains customer relations, providing product knowledge, excellent service, clean store, and adequate stock; assumes responsibility for store security.

Merchandises retail sales area to follow Liquor Commission guidelines, makes determinations on special merchandise displays.

Assumes responsibility for subordinate employees when necessary.

Travels to other store locations when assigned.

Compensation and Benefits State total compensation includes HMO or POS medical, prescription drug benefits, retirement, deferred compensation, dental plan, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, wellness program, paid holidays, and generous leave plan.

Full state-paid life insurance $50,000 plus low-cost group life insurance.
