QA Automation Architect Location: Auburn Hills, MI (local to Auburn Hills)

Type: W2 (Hybrid)

Overview We are seeking a strategic and technically proficient Test Automation Architect to lead the design and implementation of intelligent, scalable test automation frameworks. This role is pivotal in modernizing our testing infrastructure to support high-performance and eliminate manual efforts.

Responsibilities

Design and implement an enterprise-wide, AI‑assisted test automation framework.

Architect cloud‑native testing infrastructure for distributed and microservice‑based systems.

Establish testing standards, governance models, and best practices.

Implement intelligent test data management and synthetic data generation.

Guide teams in adopting modern testing tools and practices.

Develop and enhance API integration test automation using Java, JUnit/TestNG, and Cucumber.

Develop UI test automation suites using Selenium, Maven, Java, and Cucumber.

Perform debugging and troubleshooting in Linux environments.

Communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

10+ years of QA experience.

8+ years of automation experience.

Expertise in automating AI system testing (mandatory).

Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices.

Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices; coding groovy scripts for test execution jobs.

Strong exploratory testing skills and domain knowledge.

Hands‑on experience in UI automation (Selenium, Maven, Java, Cucumber).

Experience in performance testing (JMeter or LR) and exposure to security testing.

Experience debugging and troubleshooting in Linux environments.

Excellent communication skills and proactive stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Experience

Agile development process experience.

Experience working with a large, complex, global organization.

Experience in the automotive industry and automotive connectivity.

Experience with large‑scale cloud solutions, preferably built on AWS.
