Dining Attendant – Ocean Club (Seasonal) The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Dining Room Attendant to join the Ocean Club team. This role is seasonal and involves serving guests in a historic Victorian resort that has undergone a $400M renovation and expansion.

Responsibilities

Set and prepare tables for dining, including folding napkins, cleaning and placing tableware, serving water, etc.

Stock, maintain and clean designated food station(s).

Transport food items to and from the kitchen.

Serve hot and cold food courses and/or alcoholic beverages to guests and Members.

Replenish beverages as needed.

Retrieve and transport dirty tableware to the dishwashing area.

Restock outlet(s) with inventory and break down the buffet to clean, replace and set for next day.

Stock ice, glassware, and supplies. Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs promptly.

Answer questions on menu selections and communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, re‑cook orders, and product availability.

Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.

Record transactions in Point of Sale system at the time of order and present a physical and accurate check to the guest and process payment when applicable.

Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction throughout the dining experience and/or after each delivery of food and beverage items.

Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day.

Complete opening and closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations and securing coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.

Requisition all necessary supplies, transporting supplies from storeroom to set‑up area as required.

Document pertinent information in department logbook. Forecast additional meal requirements and communicate special requests to the kitchen.

All other duties as assigned.

Shift and Pay Shift: Various – must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour (based on applicable experience and location).
