Senior Information Security Engineer – Cybersecurity Framework
Location:
Atlanta, Georgia (Buckhead) – Onsite, 5 days per week
PTC is leading the way in bridging the physical and digital worlds through innovative software. We are seeking a dedicated security engineer to deliver the cybersecurity framework for a large‑scale secure implementation, supporting a growing and expanding business in a secure environment.
Position Purpose Lead the delivery of the cybersecurity framework, working closely with security auditors, key stakeholders, and infrastructure teams to secure and protect applications, data, and installations in accordance with United States Government standards.
Essential Functions and Duties
Install, configure, and maintain Security Event Information Management (SEIM) across Linux and Windows environments.
Implement and monitor security tools, including vulnerability scanning, log management, endpoint protection, and penetration testing.
Evaluate security infrastructure, adapt to evolving government standards, and validate DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG).
Maintain and monitor security policies and access rules for network, file, and database systems per the System Security Plan.
Identify potential security incidents, manage incident response, and supervise corrective measures for discovered vulnerabilities.
Stay current on emerging technologies and threats, proactively assessing adoption into the organization.
Perform COMSEC Manager role, collaborating with the FSO and infrastructure team on key security practices for the secure facility.
Advise senior management on risk levels and security posture.
Skills and Knowledge
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and network security methodologies.
Knowledge of encryption algorithms (IPSEC, AES, GRE, IKE, SHA) and key management implementation.
Proficient in Linux, Windows, virtualized platforms, and application/database architecture security controls.
Experience
DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST SP 800-53/800-171 expertise.
Experience with FedRAMP/DISA reporting and compliance.
Demonstrated experience building and managing vulnerability management programs.
Minimum Qualifications
US Secret level security clearance (current and maintainable).
Onsite availability in the Atlanta office for the majority of working hours and on-call support as needed.
5+ years of proven experience in vulnerability management, information security, and a strong technical background.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to convey complex ideas to stakeholders.
Current or obtainable DoD 8570.01 baseline certification (e.g., CAP, CCNA Security, CISSP, CISM, CCISO, HCISPP) and IAM Level II & IAT Level II.
