The Kor Group is seeking an experienced Vice President of Hotel Acquisitions to lead the sourcing, underwriting, and execution of new hotel investments across the United States. This key role will focus on acquiring institutional-quality assets that align with KOR's investment strategy. Reporting into both the President and CEO, the VP will play a central role in shaping KOR's hotel portfolio, managing a small deal team, and driving transactions from pipeline through closing.
Key Responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and execute hotel acquisition opportunities across major U.S. markets
Oversee financial analysis, underwriting, market research, and investment committee presentations
Structure and negotiate purchase agreements, joint ventures, debt financing, and related contracts
Manage due diligence processes, coordinating with legal, tax, design, and operations teams
Build and maintain relationships with brokers, lenders, owners, and capital partners
Lead and mentor a small deal team, ensuring high-quality work product and professional growth
Partner closely with senior leadership to refine investment strategy and ensure alignment with long-term portfolio goals
Collaborate with operating partners to validate underwriting assumptions and inform business plans
Qualifications
Minimum 8-10 years of hotel acquisitions or investments experience
Demonstrated track record of executing hotel transactions from sourcing through closing
Strong financial modeling, analytical, and presentation skills
Deep understanding of U.S. hotel markets, investment drivers, and operational dynamics
Experience structuring debt and equity financing for real estate transactions
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with ability to lead counterparties and advisors
Proven leadership and team management experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, or related field (MBA or MSRE preferred)
