Key Responsibilities
You will handle the defense of privacy lawsuits and data breach class actions, including those filed in state and federal courts across the country.
Draft and argue dispositive motions. This will include motions to strike, motions to dismiss, opposing class certification, and motions for summary judgment.
You will prepare and respond to written discovery, take and defend depositions, and work with expert witnesses.
You will participate in mediations for class action settlements, as well as the drafting of settlement papers for court approval.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Active state bar membership and eligibility to practice law in Illinois.
6+ years of experience in complex litigation in state and federal courts.
A background in Cybersecurity and Data Privacy is beneficial.
Competitive salary commensurate with experience ($150-200k base per annum).
