Senior Presales Architect – Storage Solutions Join Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a Senior Presales Architect focused on storage solutions in the California Bay Area. This onsite role engages with federal, enterprise, and partner customers to design and sell block and file storage solutions, ensuring technical excellence.

Job Description Provide deep technical expertise for hardware, software, or services in proposal creation and delivery, meeting customers’ business needs. Maintain strong customer relationships and expand HPE’s footprint with innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

Participate in deep‑dive discussions, assess IT infrastructure, translate technical needs into solution architecture.

Collaborate with account teams to develop and communicate key value propositions and negotiation points.

Deliver compelling presentations linking HPE solutions to tangible business benefits.

Leverage new technologies, upgrades, and refreshes to protect and expand HPE’s footprint.

Update pipeline information accurately to nurture deals and move opportunities to close.

Facilitate transition from sales to implementation, orienting teams to technical design and training needs.

Education and Experience

Presales Solution Architect or Sales Engineer experience.

5+ years of presales experience.

Experience designing and selling block and file storage solutions.

Strong relationships with HPE channel partners in the Bay Area.

Strong communication skills: technical writing, public speaking, information discovery.

Experience working with large, complex enterprise customers.

Experience running infrastructure and software PoC.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience designing and selling HPE storage solutions (Alletra, Nimble, 3PAR/Primera, GreenLake).

Experience selling major competitors (Dell, NetApp, Pure, Nutanix).

Experience with virtual/hypervisor environments.

Experience with public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Knowledge and Skills

Deep technical skills in assigned area.

Strategic initiatives, current trends, competitor products knowledge.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Consultative selling techniques.

CRM system usage.

Social media and information sharing knowledge.

Partner engagement knowledge.

Industry certifications preferred.

Project management skills.

Solution configuration and PoC experience.
