Job Summary Maven is looking for an exceptional sales leader to join our Employer Sales Team. In this role, you will lead a portion of the quickly growing team, spearhead market demand, develop prospect and buyer‑level strategies, and architect deals and contract terms that are credible and exciting to prospects. You will evangelize Maven’s voice with passion and credibility across the team, prospects, consultants, and the market. The role reports to the VP of Employer Sales.

Responsibilities

Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the team

Build and increase pipeline across assigned market segment(s)

Work with VP Sales to manage recruiting, objective setting, coaching, and performance monitoring of sales reps

Present sales and revenue reports and forecasts to the management team

Represent Maven at industry events and conferences

Manage the team through the sales process — qualification to close

Develop and maintain a network of relationships with key stakeholders and influencers in healthcare (brokers, payers, benefits admin, platforms, exchanges, etc.)

Be highly motivated, self‑starting, data‑driven, and results‑oriented

Contribute to the sales strategy and process that results in landing new clients

Qualifications

5+ years of experience managing a winning sales team focused ideally selling to HR/Benefits

Experience sourcing and hiring top talent and coaching high‑performing sales team members

Successful track record closing complex deals, ideally selling to HR/Benefits

Proven track record of building, negotiating, and closing deals by working across all levels at an organization

Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships

Strong written and communication skills

Thoughtful and organized collaborator, working with and leading cross‑functional teams

Experience in Salesforce

Helpful Experiences and Backgrounds

Network of relationships with key stakeholders in healthcare (brokers, benefits admin platforms, etc.)

Passion for documenting and contributing new ideas and feedback from market to product

Experience working cross‑functionally in a face‑paced start‑up environment

Compensation The OTE range for this role is approximately $375 K‑$400 K per year. You will also be entitled to stock options and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.

Work Model Maven embraces a flexible hybrid work model. Our teams primarily operate from the New York Metropolitan area, NY, San Francisco/Bay Area, CA, Seattle, WA, Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, and Washington, D.C. For those in our New York City office, we encourage in‑person collaboration by requiring team members to work onsite three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). For those based in San Francisco/Bay Area, CA, Seattle, WA, Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, and Washington, D.C., we encourage in‑person collaboration by requiring team members to attend quarterly Work Together Days within these cities. This policy aims to balance remote work flexibility with the benefits of face‑to‑face interaction.
