We are seeking an experienced Director to lead and develop a global team of project accountants, cost accountants, and financial analysts supporting manufacturing facilities across a leading Rig Technology business. This role drives financial planning, analysis, and reporting for complex global revenue streams and long‑term projects, providing actionable insights to senior leadership and operational teams.
Base pay range $165,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of 22–24 project accountants, cost accountants, and financial analysts.
Drive FP&A processes, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for complex global revenue streams and long‑term projects.
Present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results versus forecast to senior leadership, providing clear insights and actionable recommendations.
Partner with Operations and Regional leadership on annual plans, forecast adjustments, and profitability analyses by product line and geography.
Oversee project accounting for percentage‑of‑completion contracts, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and financial controls.
Provide data‑driven analytics and scenario modeling to identify opportunities to increase profitability, optimize costs, and improve operational efficiency.
Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial policies, standards, and regulations.
Lead initiatives to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and transparency of financial reporting.
Implement and improve processes, tools, and systems for forecasting, project tracking, and performance measurement.
Collaborate on cross‑functional special projects, providing financial leadership and insights to support strategic decision‑making.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and/or FP&A (must be evident on all resumes).
Expertise in US GAAP, with strong understanding of financial controls and compliance.
Technical proficiency in cost accounting; manufacturing industry experience is a plus but not required.
Demonstrated ability to understand and analyze data generated by automation tools.
Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, Snowflake is highly desirable but not mandatory.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with Hyperion Financial Management and/or Oracle a plus.
Proven track record of delivering results and effectively partnering with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Commitment to stable tenure and meeting deadlines, customer requirements, and organizational priorities.
Experience leading process improvement initiatives using automation tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
