Brief Job Overview USP is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Design Manager to join our Creative Services team within the Global Communications department. This role is ideal for a strategic problem‑solver who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about visual storytelling, brand consistency, and impactful design. You will work closely with in‑house and freelance designers, other creative professionals, and communications managers to develop compelling visual content that supports USP’s mission and enhances our global presence.

Responsibilities

Drive and maintain USP’s brand identity and brand guidelines across global communications.

Develop integrated visual campaigns for print and digital channels, supporting the development, manufacture, and distribution of quality medicines.

Promote medicines supply chain resilience and supporting the development of biologic therapies.

Bolster quality and consistency of dietary supplements and food ingredients.

Remove barriers to innovation in science and technology.

Collaborate with Global Communications and other stakeholders to plan and execute high‑quality work on time and on budget.

Conceptualize campaign vision and develop creative content for USP’s website, social media, and other communication channels.

Create innovative design solutions, including animation, motion graphics, and visual storytelling.

Manage production, approval, feedback, quality, delivery, and dissemination of design products for cross‑organization use.

Establish a unified brand understanding, strengthen brand standards, and develop brand templates.

Ensure team adherence to processes, propose improvements, and create tools to support design operations.

Track design and industry trends and evaluate campaign performance.

Assist senior managers with day‑to‑day department needs, including independent project management and creative review.

Provide design, photography, and videography support as needed.

Qualifications

Ten or more years of professional experience in design, digital, and print, overseeing large multi‑channel campaigns.

Expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and proficiency in Adobe Premiere or Premiere Rush; knowledge of Canva and Microsoft products.

Exceptional typography, layout, and prototyping skills.

Strong collaboration skills and ability to build credibility with stakeholders.

Demonstrated understanding of USP’s mission, commitment to excellence, and inclusive, equitable practices.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervisory oversight.

Portfolio of relevant design work required for interview consideration.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent industry experience; experience as an art director; web development and social media experience; photography and video production skills; digital asset management system experience.

Compensation Base Salary (20‑hour work week): USD $62,000.00 – $78,750.00 annually.
