This role partners with companies ranging from Fortune 500 to startups across all industries to solve their most complicated problems, focusing on how to use data and research for decisions. A leading AI/ML initiative is underway to build a product that doesn’t exist yet, with a goal to automate and potentially replace the heavy data science spend. The team is forming in a space dedicated to this ambitious journey and aims to deliver a tool that can automate data-driven insights and, in many cases, reduce or eliminate manual data research for identifying trends. The position is for a Senior Data Scientist to lead this initiative, applying data mining techniques, performing statistical analysis, and building high-quality prediction systems. It will involve applying machine learning techniques, building recommendation systems, and developing internal A/B testing procedures and automation reporting. Responsibilities

Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques Data mining using state-of-the-art methods Enhancing data collection procedures to include information relevant for analytic systems Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results clearly Creating automated anomaly detection systems and continuously tracking their performance Utilizing database technologies, including SQL, ETL, EMR, and Redshift, to shape data and statistical modeling tools like R and Python to build customer models Establishing scalable, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data analyses, model development, validation, and implementation Researching and implementing novel machine learning and statistical approaches Qualifications

Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms Experience with common data science toolkits and data visualization tools Proficiency in query languages such as SQL, Hive, Pig, etc. Strong applied statistics skills (distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.) Good scripting and programming skills, such as Python Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics or related fields, or equivalent practical experience; Master’s degree is preferred Relevant working experience in an analytical role involving data extraction, analysis, model building, deployment and communication of insights Excellent quantitative modeling and statistical analysis skills; proficient with statistical tools It is a truly unique work environment where the right candidate can contribute to both the creative and execution phases of the idea.
